Contrary to other reviews, there is parking available at the church a short distance from the trailhead. The trail is an easy, mostly flat walk through the woods down to the sound. The trail is mainly packed dirt and sand. I don't even bring shoes...More

My wife our two dogs and I walked the trail to Springers point a couple of times with our tennage son while staying on Ocracoke. The foot path winds through a canopy of live oaks and other foliage opening to a sunlit cove with tall...More

Theres no parking so you have to park at the church and walk a ways, then down through the path in the woods to a great little beach on the sound. Warm shallow water for the little ones to play in !

This little nature loop to the water is a short hike. It’s a bit odd in that there’s no parking... you have to park at the church just after the lighthouse and can just make a small donation. (Optional but advised to us at the...More

This was a nice walk through the woods with plenty of places to stop along the way. It is a loop walk so you end up where you started. A nice walk to take with children or if you have extra time. Not a must...More

My wife and I walked this path with our daughter who was very intent on shell collecting. First, you can't park right at the point area, but there is a church not too far away that allows you to park there, just asks for parking...More

This was recommended by a friend. The walk through the woods was very nice and we even learned a few things. When you get to the beach the views were amazing. Well worth the short walk.
