The bugs here are thick in the summer, so try to wear longer sleeves. There is no parking near the entrance, so you must wear comfortable walking shoes. It is very worth the time, though. The preserve has such beautiful scenery and experiences. It is...More

Closest parking is at the Assembly of God Church, donation box available! Really no other parking within reasonable distance. Didnt see any sea glass, but some hermit crabs and lots of vegetation. Nice hike for kids, some small hills and roots, be careful!

Haven't been to Springer's Point in several years due to a very large snake sighting right by the Sam Jones gravesite. This trip I was determined to make it through the trail to the beach for sunset. Well worth my anxiety about critters. The only...More

A beautiful and natural place. We went to see Sam Jones gravesite and were surprised not to see any information regarding his life or related history. The gravesite was also in a sorry state and could use some maintenance... I am sure people would enjoy...More

While riding our bikes around the island, came across this path to Springer's Point Preserve. A beautiful nature's path takes you to the preserve. The beach is lovely with much to enjoy.

A lovely hiking trail with some gorgeous flora. The beach was a nice size and had spectacular views. Biting flies were a slight problem the day we went - but that depends on whichever way the wind blows.

We stopped here after a suggestion by our lunch time waitress who told our granddaughters about Blackbeard & his hidden treasure. We didn't find the treasure but we did see fish & a lot of hermit crabs! It was a nice little walk down the...More

Springers point is a magical 10 minute walk through a small forest of live oaks which opens up to a beautiful beach. A must do if you’re on Ocracoke Island
