Came here on vacation and had never visited this place. Finally decided to stop by and found this quaint little cemetery next to some private lots. Worth the visit.

Most ppl don’t realize that Nazi Germany had U-boats off the coast of NC during WW2. They torpedoed a ship that killed British sailors and when they washed ashore, villagers buried them here and where they are buried is now considered British land. Must visit!!!

Another must see, especially if you are into history! The plaque tells the story very well about the 6 men that lost their life patrolling for U-boats on our shores. A story that you probably won't hear in history class, but really should!

Mosquitoes...soak in Deet. I’m a huge history buff and while it is interesting, it’s hardly a must see.

We walked here early morning from the Crews Inn and enjoyed (as much as one can enjoy) this site, considering that it is technically a small piece of British land. Very powerful and touching!
