We were awaiting the ferry to Cedar Island and stopped at the visitors center. Very friendly and informative folks. The gift shop had a nice selection of items.

This was a great trip to Ocracoke Island and gives you plenty of time to just chill and enjoy the trip.

In the off season, especially the winter, the Visitor Center is a good place to drop into and plan you activities.

You will find vending machines, super clean rest rooms and helpful staff here. So much different than what was there back in the 70's.

Get info of the island before you set out. Good prices on keepsakes. Friendly staff and will answer all your questions.

If you're looking for information about the island this is the place to stop. The rangers are very knowledgeable and informative about what is happening on the island. Good ranger programs,clean restrooms etc.
