Some neat pieces and setup to resemble history of the island. It was a guide yourself around place. Lots of signage to help explain what you were looking at.

The amount of information and historical artifacts are incredible! The house has it's own story that has traveled with it around the Island. Don't forget to hit the gift shop and grab some local yuapon tea!

Small, but interesting and educational. Kids loved sifting for sharks teeth in the sandbox. There really are a number of teeth in it.

This museum has so much to see abs learn. I love the old furnishings and belongings left by the last owner. The photos and information on storms and changes to the island and shoreline was very informative. Loved the native seashell collection. AMD the video...More

A well assembled history display, very nicely done. The language portion was particularly interesting and sad. Sad that the culture and use of parlance is largely fading away. If you visit the island, this is worth a quick stop. Recommend visiting if you are interested...More

This is worth a stop. I don't think young children would get much out of this museum but teens and adults will.

Glad you enjoyed the museum! We actually have "scavenger hunts" for all ages as well as a sandbox that the kids can dig in for fossils and shark's teeth! Hope to see you again soon!

If one wants to really learn about local history, stopping here is worth a visit. Whoever is working there that day (and I've met many) is always happy to answer questions. It's not big but is a great place to stop in....
