My husband, daughter, mother and I recently enjoyed a fantastic tour on a lovely sunny November day. Captain Mike let my 7-yr old experience being "first mate", pointed out all of the pirate-related sights for her, and even gave her a captain's hat ("Mommy, it is a REAL one!"). Great combination of nature, local history, and amusing stories! Thanks Jim... More

What a wonderful way to see New Bern from the water. Captain Jack and his first mate Steve were so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. My husband and I will definitely be taking our friends from out of town, on this boatride.

Booked a boat ride for Saturday Aug 27th. We arrived early and sat and waited one hour in front of the locked dock E. The Captain no showed and no one answered my calls or text message. They should have given my cell to the Captain or his cell to us. But not showing up nor contacting us is terrible

My 3 girlfriends and I spent a wonderful weekend in new Bern. The cruise was the perfect amount of time on the river for us after breakfast. We embarked right at the doubletree hotel, and took the 2-hour tour. Loved the scenery, the captain's information, and spending time on the water.

When I called to book a trip for our group of four adults and two children, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I could pick the time to start the trip, as well as the destination. Captain Maurice was right on time, friendly and wonderful with the kids, who were 6 and 3. Although there are no bathroom facilities... More

We visited New Bern over Memorial Day weekend. We had planned on a beach day but the weather wasn't great so we called TugBoat Cruises to see if they had any tours this day. They didn't have any but the owner told us he would contact one of his captains and let us know. He called back an hour later... More

Don't even think of visiting New Bern without seeing all of it from the water! You may think you have explored and seen all the sights of this fascinating city, but not so until you see it from a tugboat. Tugboat Cruises(docked at E Dock at Doubletree) gives an intimate view of life on and around the waters of New... More

Did not have much time in New Bern having arrived in the late afternoon, so my sister & I got hooked up immediately with a tugboat cruise around the Neuse & Trent Rivers. We just asked about the boat cruise, a boat captain was looked up, and we went. No waiting in lines (YES)! It was a delightful tour that... More

Captain Jim Ward went out of his way to take us and our seven-year-old son on a tug boat ride around the river. My son was so excited to drive the boat around the bridges and out in the open water! We had spent the earlier part of the day walking around town, so this was a refreshing, relaxing treat.... More

Captain Mo took us up the Trent River for a relaxing, interesting look at homes, nature, and some places we would have never seen on our own. A reasonable price with a friendly, interesting captain.
