We stopped here on our way to the Neuse River Recreation Area. There is a small pull-off area near the road to park. Being in the woods I suggest you wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the walk. To do the entire loop it took...More

Sign says no Bikes, Flat walk in the woods. Not much of interest. Don't plan your day around taking a hike here.

The trail is very easy to walk, there are a lot of tree roots in the path that can trip you if you are not paying attention. It's only 1/2 mile in length.

Short, moderate trail, with white markings on trees to follow. Took us approximately 30-45min to hike, trailed along large creek.

What's better than enjoying nature? Take the time too relax and enjoy a nice easy walk. Be sure to use some bug spray and check for ticks when you leave.

Yup, my friend isn't much for hiking. Actually it's a walk. The trees, plant life, creek, sounds, mushrooms, sounds, quiet, easy to follow trails made it worth it for both of us.
