Worth a stop, especially for civil war history buffs and fire department enthusiasts. New Bern's fire department's rich history is on display. They will have an inter-active fire education center for children in the very near future.

Would highly recommend the guided tour. The guided tour volunteers were very knowledgeable about the history of firefighting in New Bern. Equipment is completely restored in the original fire house.
