This was a quick stop on my outer banks tour, the facility was nice, the lighthouse was beautiful. I didn’t climb this one due to time restrictions. A nice stopover.

I am actually remembering visiting here in 2010, but that is not a choice offered in the "When did you travel" option. My husband and I enjoyed taking our time walking through the little museum on site.

Visited April 2018 (off-season). The US Park Ranger staff were friendly, informative, and helpful. Unfortunately the lighthouse was closed to the public at the time we visited.

A fully functioning light house. They will let you climb the light house, but you need to buy a ticket. Wonderful spot for a short visit.
