The Mount Airy Visitors Center is now located in The Greater Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce Building at 200 N. Main Street, Mount Airy NC 27030. Please stop by the Mount Airy Visitors Center as we are open 7 Days a week Monday-Friday 8:30am-6pm (May-November) and until 5pm (December-April), Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday 12noon-4pm. We can assist with planning your trip while visiting Mount Airy "Mayberry" North Carolina. The Andy Griffith Museum is also open 7 Days week and just few blocks from the Visitors Center.

The visitors is a must if you are visiting Mt. Airy! There were actually several things I learned about the Andy Griffith show by visiting here. Very well organized layout of items to be showcased!

This is an "upscale" Visitors Center! Good layout, good staff, good restrooms--everything you need in one place. Recommend stopping by. Note later opening time for Sundays.

People were friendly and informative about where to go when visiting Mt. Airy even though they probably answer the same questions and give out the same information dozens of time a day.More

What a nice surprise. Decided to stop into Mount Airy while driving south to Florida. What a nice museum and very nice people helping to make the experience memorable. If this isn't Mayberry, nothing is...Could actually hear the theme song and the whistling which kept...More

Take a walk back to simpler times - when TV spoke to values, relationships and faith. I had forgotten how uplifting the episodes were. And, without violence and politics. Refreshing.

Not sure why we stopped in here, we weren't lookng for anything special. But we were warmly greeted and introduced to the museum and other sights. someone in my house is a huge Andy Griffith fan, watches the reruns on MeTV daily.
