From the highway look for the sign indicating the exit for Pilot Mountain. Nice beautiful drive up to the top- short uneven walk to reach the observation deck- I would not attempt if your not sure footed. Beautiful views. Restrooms at both parking lots at...More

There is a narrow twisty drive going up to the parking lot . On a busy day there is a line halfway down the mountain . Don’t get discouraged ! It is well worth the experience .

Driving along the highway, we could see this mount from quite a distance. We found a scenic view pull-off for it, so we stopped to get a few pics. I wish we had time to go on th mount, but we were only passing through.

Long winding road that takes quite awhile to reach the top, but WELL WORTH it! There are a couple of bluffs to look over and photograph.

Beautiful state park. You can see for what seems like hundreds of miles. They have short and long distance trails and beautiful areas to take pictures. Even if you arent a big nature person you should stop in and check it out .

I enjoyed the drive up to the top almost as much as the view from the top. Once you park at the top you should walk just a short distance to see an even better view. You can also have a picnic at the top as there are... More
