Small but informative museum. Went for the Girl Scout display, which was nice. There are rooms with displays. Docent was nice and told many things. Restroom also. Will go again... read more

Small but informative museum. Went for the Girl Scout display, which was nice. There are rooms with displays. Docent was nice and told many things. Restroom also. Will go again. Open Th-Sat 10-4

Quaint and welcoming town area with a really nice engine for photos, train enthusiasts and especially for kids. Good eating places nearby as well. Very welcome, town place.

We visited the Matthews Heritage Museum today, and found it to be a lovely little museum! Although it is relatively small, it is a great way to spend an hour or two learning about the history of downtown Matthews. Matthews has a history that has been tirelessly been dug up and now presented to the public through the efforts of Paula Lester and the Matthews Historical Foundation.
