The Maggie Valley Opry House features Raymond Fairchild, 5-time winner of the National Banjo Picking and 2 gold record holder. Former Grand Old Opry star, now semi-retired, can still make the banjo sing and talk like a chicken too! If you are in the area, you need to visit this attraction. They don't promote it as much as they should.

My husband & I enjoyed the pickin' & grinnin' here at the Opry House. This place is full of stars right under your nose. The music was great & the performers are the best. I can hardly wait to go back for some good ole' mountain music.

Enjoyed the talent of Raymond Fairchild. Amazing self taught banjo player. Entire 3 man band displayed their God given talents. Bass/ keyboard player was also an impressive singer who played like Floyd Crammer's clone. Touching to hear the gospel songs in the Cherokee language. Clean family show.

Took a trip with two friends from high school (a long time ago!) and went to see this because my friend's husband who passed played in a band and she still goes regularly to see the groups around London, Ohio. We all really enjoyed Raymond Fairchild, John Locust and Bill. It was a fun evening

Raymond Fairchild the owner of the Opera House never lets his visitors down. The All Time Great Banjo picker I believe could play the Banjo in his sleep. He with the rest of the gang playing with him can sure give the audience just what they came for. If you enjoy some good old front porch Picking and Grinning Blue... More

The Maggie Valley Opry House is an intimate venue where Raymond Fairchild showcases some of the best bluegrass music you can find. Raymond surrounds himself with a talented band that could be a featured act all on their own. Raymond's stories and laid back delivery are indicative of the music and the area. If you enjoy banjo music you will... More

What a treat this was on this hot July Saturday night. If you love real Bluegrass music then don't miss this place. It's a little bit hard to find but well worth searching for to hear the 5 time world champion banjo player. Raymond is outside greeting people as you arrive along with his Shirley and others in the band.... More
