Easy climb down to the observation deck, a little steeper getting down to the bottom but not too difficult.

Just a short hike from the parking area to the observation deck. The view from the deck was good and a good safe place to take pictures. Worth the drive from Cherokee.

The car park is very small and located on the uphill road from Cherokee to Maggie Valley. The walking track is steep and requires good shoes and footing. Above the falls there is a platform to view and take photos. The meeting of larger and...More

Not too bad of trek down to see the falls. I found the use of the ropes very helpful. My husband made it all the way to the bottom, but I did not. But from my perch, I had a beautiful view of the falls....More

This a beautiful waterfall and is right along the road side. Parking space is limited and you have to walk down to the platform to view the falls.

These falls surprised me. They were the largest we had seen here. There are steps going down to a platform to view them. The water was up when we were there so that may have made a difference.

A beautiful waterfall easily viewed just off the road. The descent is steep, but very doable, to a viewing platform about half way down to the base of the falls. A rope is available to aid in the descent to the base of the falls,...More

We were driving out of Cherokee heading for Asheville when we seen a sign for Soco Falls. We thought why not stop. We wanted a break anyway. We whipped our car into the very small parking area. We were unprepared for what we would behold....More
