So beautiful and just off the beaten path. I do wish there was more parking. We went up to the first landing and got plenty of great pics. U can go down to the base of the falls but it looked too treacherous for me since there’s only a rope to hold onto.

Exciting Double Waterfall Close to Maggie Valley
May 2021 • Couples
Soco Falls is a beautiful double waterfall just outside Maggie Valley. It is about 6 miles from Maggie Valley. GPS does find it. Driving on US 19 toward Cherokee the parking lot for the Falls is about 2 miles after the Blue Ridge Parkway. The parking area is on the left side of road. No signage - be alert for only parking area on left after Parkway. There is a short path to the viewing platform. Then two paths to the bottom of the Falls. The left path is less steep and then is a path of huge flat boulders on the edge of the Creek. The other path is steep with ropes to hang on to so more strenuous. The view from the bottom gives better views of the two waterfalls tumbling into the creek below. Hard to see the waterfall on the left from viewing platform. Plus tree foliage blocks views of the falls. On the return to the top we took the steeper rope trail holding on to the ropes to make the climb. umm forgot to use the easier trail. For more adventuresome people a path follows along the creek.

Neat O Waterfalls
May 2021 • Family
This is a great little water falls just off the road. The falls was pretty cool and stuff. No sidewinder or Clodhoppers in the area.
The trails could be a little rough for some.

Soco Water Fall
Mar 2021 • Friends
Beautiful water fall. I love hearing the sound of the water as it falls. So beautiful to look at. I could not get down to touch the water because it rained earlier that morning and the ground was too wet and slippery to climb down to the water fall. I plan to go back and hope it is dry so I can climb down and touch the water. I love water falls.

Beautiful Falls
Mar 2021 • Couples
Beautiful falls in the mountains! A bit hard to find driving up from Maggie Valley as not well marked in that direction. Once we found it, however, it was definitely worth it. Short hike down to the base with ropes to hold on to.

The falls are very close to Maggie valley and relatively easy to get to without having to hike far. There is also a little bit of parking. A beautiful spot for a photo!

Beautiful place to visit. Little risky climbing down but you don't have to. Nice deck observation to see the falls

Easy Walk
Feb 2021 • Couples
We are a couple in our 60’s and thought this was an easy 120 yard hike to the platform. It rained the night before, yet, it might of took us 10mins. to decline. NOT much different going back up even with the incline. Very little parking and could be dangerous pulling out, the worse thing about stopping and looking at the falls.

pretty falls in the snow
Jan 2021
Very pretty falls, even in the snow. It has a nice observation deck but the area was pretty muddy. They need a little better signage.

So pretty!

I did the hike by myself with 8 and 10 year old boys. Small children and elderly will not be able to get down to the falls; very steep and rocky with ice and mud during winter. You can see the falls from the parking area!
