Oh my lord, this is a place we decided to go because we stayed nearby. So glad we made the 30 minute drive to see the gorge.

we visited this after Crabtree and without a lot of planning. Short easy walk to a beautiful pool with 2 small falls and an interested geological overhand, terminating in a violent curved flume. Sign said Linville gorge was deepest in eastern US. Yawn. Well.... We had no idea what this looked like from other trails. The little pool was at... More

It is a bit of a rough walk but only quarter mile to falls. You will be glad you stopped off here. Bring your camera or just your eyes and remember take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but foot prints.

There are multiple hikes that you can do around the Falls/Gorge. Some are easier than others but all are very doable. Every viewpoint offered a great view and we were able to take a ton of pictures. My wife and I were able to do every hike in about 4 hours (that includes taking pictures and looking at the scenery).... More

While we were here just for the hike to the beautiful waterfalls, this park offers many other things like bicycling, camping, fishing, horse back riding, picnicking, water activities among many other options. Compared to other hikes we've been on this was fairly short and easy to get to the waterfalls and well worth the minimal effort. Just breathtaking! The only... More

We have 2 kids ages 6 and 11. We did these trails up to the gorge with no problem. Beautiful views await you at every stop along the way. We spent the whole day here and would definitely do it again.

The day we came here the Blue Ridge Pkwy was closed. The GPS sent us miles down a dirt road. We ended up at another shorter entrance to the falls. It was beautiful and we were so glad we came. Check out Louise's Famous restaurant within sight of the falls entrance. Excellent meals and homemade desserts!

Hiked to 3 diff views of the gorge. Cloudy day but made it nice for the hiking. Gorgeous views of water, rock and mountains. Didn't take long. Everything about 0.4 miles from each other. You can do all three locations in no time.

This place was unbelievable the waterfalls were huge and so powerful, I couldn't believe the views and there were barely any people around within the whole mile+ park the walk is about a half mile but it is so worth it

Would definitely recommend this location for a look at nature closeup. Trails are well designated and designed for a variety of athletic levels. Absolutely breathtaking views.
