This is a fun and fairly easy hike to a pretty waterfall. It's about 3/4 of a mile to the first overlook. It's a pretty spot, a big rocky shoal. The rocks, if wet, can be slippery. The next overlook, and the better view of...More

Gorgeous falls. Go to upper falls if you are short on time, have mobility issues or have kids in tow. It’s a short and pretty easy trail.

If you like to walk through the woods, I highly recommend the paths to Linville Falls! Easy to follow trails lead to beautiful views overlooking the falls. The more difficult trails lead down to the gorge. We thoroughly enjoyed this walk!

We went to the falls during a rainy week and they were spectacular. We took the "moderate" trail to the upper falls view (and the two viewpoints beyond). It was mostly a nice, wide trail. To get the the various view points there are lots...More
