This should be a place you can come visit.fish.walk on beach.take a nap and go again......but NO.NOT HERE.....they make it against the law to sleep in your car. That way you are Forced To Rent a overpriced room for the night..they do sometimes have restrooms open for the public.or you can go to the pier IF they are open...not after November.....the food here is beyond compare with the super prices they charge...the hotels and rooms out landish prices...then the police harrassing you to. We spend 75% of our money down there when we go but believe me its not worth it. The city hall office is behind it all.making stupid rules and laws to steal from visitors.

This is a small, and I do mean small, oceanfront park in Kure Beach. Although it's small it does offer free street parking, ocean view bench swings, green space to stretch your legs or spread a picnic, public restrooms and a small play space for the little ones, like 4 and under, to play and burn a little energy off. There is a pavilion that hosts a Sunday morning church service. It also hosts bands, entertainers, and events. Just wish it were a bit larger and offered a play space for older children. A couple of picnic tables would be nice.

We went to the park to go to the princess story time event. This event was done very well with three princesses in great costumes reading to the kids. My daughter also liked that they had fun art projects to do after the reading. My 2 year old son liked the ship play equipment and learned to go down the fireman pole to the inside of the ship. He kept going up the ladder and back down the pole. We also like the swings across the street on the boardwalk. It was also interesting that the area had a water reservoir under our feet to collect rain water.

Love this park! So quiet, clean, and calm. Lovely swing benches that overlook the beach. Often have concerts or craft shows.

Stopped by on a Tuesday in July to enjoy the ocean views and free parking. There was a nice farmer's market at the park, not sure how often it is on site. Parked right in front of the market on the road facing the ocean a few steps from the pier. It's amazing the amount of free parking at Kure Beach year round.
