I was lucky to live in Kure Beach for a year. It was a very stressful year for us as we were adopting a baby. (moved states and financially draining) We made it through our roughest year on this Pier and near this pier. We always had peace in our "storm" while here. Daytime... night... it doesn't get any better... More

The beach was beautiful, if you have 4 wheel drive there is an access road you can drive your vehicle on. Beautiful scenery! Will definitely go back.

I am afraid of heights but I showed my kids to conquer your fears and we walked all the way down. It is neat to see the beautiful ocean views from the end and watch people fishing along the way. We even got a close up picture of a pelican sitting on the side. There are places to clean the... More

Every year we vacation in Kure, we stroll every night to the pier for a spirited game of Foosball. You can also fish (obviously) shop, and even get ice cream. Love the Kure Pier

A friend and I went to the pier to watch the people fishing to see if they caught anything. I really enjoyed hanging out and looking at all the fish that were being caught and meeting new people. I will say that the pier has a lot of gaps and worn boards. I'm sure they inspect it to make sure... More

If you are looking for a peaceful beach experience without the extreme crowd then Kure Beach is a great location. The pier was very nice and well built. There are several places to sit along the pier and view the sea. There are also cleaning stations to wash and clean your catch. There are several local restaurants at the base... More

The KB pier is centrally located and open all year round. Off season you can bike or bring your dog out on the pier. You can see for miles up and down the coast from here. Great view of the sunrise or sunset. Gets pretty busy in the summer. Souvenir shop right near by.

Great views down the beach. The pier itself is in pretty bad shape. The boards are loose and gapped enough you are watching were you step. Needs some new decking. Dozen guys fishing but no catching.

This is a fun place to take the kids. The view is beautiful but I'm always nervous because some of the boards have large gaps in between and I hold their hands the whole time because I am scared of them falling in the ocean. It's fun but not the safest thing to do.

We take a walk on the pier every year when we make our annual trip to Ft Fisher. Usually after a great meal at Freddie's. It's interesting watching the people out there fishing.
