Couldn't see the interior part of this museum due to covid. Outside pieces need work, very corroded.

My family and I visited the North Carolina Military History Museum last month while on vacation in the Wilmington, NC area at Kure Beach. Man what an awesome place! If you are looking for a history of North Carolinia's service to our nation, then this is the place! There are excellent World War I and World War II displays (and others of course) and the amount of artifacts they have are staggering. There's quite a bit of information on the 30th Infantry "Old Hickory" Division's service during both World Wars. I really liked their dedication to promoting the service of their fellow North Carolinian's. The building and grounds are handicap and wheel chair accessible. We had no problem getting our son around the museum in his wheel chair. The gentleman who was working was very nice and a pleasure to talk to. I really enjoyed our conversation about the Battle of Mortain. If you like military history this place is chock full of it. Their hours are posted on their website, but it's best to call and make sure a volunteer is working. I'll definitely visit this museum again!…
