One of my favorite out of the way places. Great place to bird and turtle watch. Nice place to walk with a semi shaded loop out of the sun. Woods Road bike path is nearby.

Great park with wooded walk-ways that extend out over the canals. Picnic areas just off the parking lot and out on the walkways. Fishing areas as well. Lots of turtles too!

This is a great park to walk with the kids very easy to observe nature. The turtles come up to watch you walk by and beg for food. The park proves that there is a quiet place to walk in the Outer Banks

It is free. There is a small parking lot and you just park and walk in.

NO, because we are too far north for those types of creatures and the body of water does not feed to a major tributary.
