Appears small and wasn’t sure if cost was worth it but it was a very cool and educational experience. We had a personalized tour for four of us (w my kids 10, 13, 15) and we all learned a lot about the lobster lifecycle. Tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and happy to answer our many questions.

we went here with the kids for an afternoon. when we arrived, we were weary because the place looked to small. but we went in and were pleasantly surprised. the staff was so knowledgable and answered all our questions about lobsters. we learned so much. the kids really enjoyed the tour. they liked the virtual reality part. at one point in the tour they give you the glasses for virtual reality and you are underwater with the lobsters.

it is worth the stop to visit this ecocentre.

These delicious little creatures rate of survival is so amazingly low, it’s a wonder they exist at all. Christien was our tour guide, he did an awesome job educating us on the life cycle of the lobster. A must visit if you go to Shediac, New Brunswick

My family had a wonderful visit. I appreciate how they made sure we were all enjoying ourselves. Our guide provided information that was easy for our 8 year old son to understand and also kept him engaged and interested. Even my husband and I walked away having learned something new.
We will be sure to visit again.

This is located on the tourist trap known as the Pointe-du-Chene Wharf in Shediac. While you can pretty much forget the rest of the wharf, this place is quite a find. It is run by the local lobster fishermen's union and helps you understand the way lobsters develop from eggs until they land on your plate. There is a lot for young kids to learn and you get to touch lobsters. I strongly recommend this. The cost is only five bucks with limitless re-entry same day and little kids are free.

We had an excellent visit at the Ecocentre . We were glad we stopped at the Shediac Tourist Info spot and had it suggested to us. Shauna gave us a very informative tour.

Seeing three rare lobsters as well as being able to pick up a few in the touch tank for only five dollars a person was well worth it. Always looking for something a little different in a vacation here I learned about the life cycle and what is being done to keep Canadian lobsters alive and well. Staff was educational and very nice. Neither I nor my partner speaks French and he and I understood and had fun!

Very small little operation but not expensive either, people there obviously love their job and it shows! It didn't last long but it was informative and neat. Super fun to see baby lobsters!

Don't expect to spend hours there but it is a great stop when in Shediac. Small building located on the wharf, only a couple of rooms but the live lobsters and sea animals are fun to see. The best part is without a doubt the staff that is so knowledgeable they can answer any questions you have about the exposition

The Centre is not large, but is jam packed with incredibly interesting information about lobsters. They have a blue lobster and one that is half blue on display, and a forty-five year old lobster that is absolutely huge. The tour of the centre is guided by bi-lingual staff who know a great deal about lobster. A fee is levied, but worth it.
