This is an interesting gift shop/museum/pottery place. It's hard to describe, but it's worth 30 minutes of your time. Beautiful, unusual pottery and wood gifts, although most are somewhat pricey. Small photo gallery of local scenes. Lovely artwork in the lawn, including a corn crib....More

Such a beautiful studio. We are so glad we made the stop. The building alone is very cool. Lots to see.

What a cool place. If I lived in Highlands, I would definitely be out there taking pottery classes. Beautiful grounds. Very friendly staff and artists. Bought a beautiful pottery bowl. Recommend a visit.

First you enter thru a historical wooden covered bridge and then wander among art, pottery and photography that are inspirational. Great place to relax and see North Carolina through local artists eyes.

Trying to plan a trip to Highlands and will be stopping by The Bascoms. Check in at hotel is 4:00. Wondering how long it takes to go thru The Bascoms so I can plan my time frames accordingly. Thank you.

It depends on how long you want to look at the exhibits. An hour-less or more.
