One of the best Native American museum's that we have visited. The girl at the desk was extremely knowledgeable and interesting to talk too. The exhibits were first rate and well displayed.

Native American museums are usually full of feathers and costume, not this one. From stone pots to fighting implements, through beads, jewellery and coins this little museum is probably one of the best I have been too. The lady on the desk was really knowledgeable and ever so helpful

Poorly maintained place, especially for charging a fee to go see. Was dark and dingy inside and the actual artifacts that were there were crammed on top of one another.

Nice museum with overview of national native american history. A few items are displayed from the outer banks. Could be hit or miss with kids, some displays are showing some wear. Still worth a visit. They had an outside trail that had some new signs that were nice.

My husband and I stumbled upon the Frisco Native American Museum while on our honeymoon and it is one of our favorite memories from the trip. This museum is packed with fascinating artifacts and exhibits from many different native societies. Its amazing that it is all part of a private collection. The owners have done a great job at displaying... More

An interesting museum with numerous items on display. We visited on 7/19/16. The owners evidently enjoy preserving Native American history. It could use some more display information about certain items but it was well worth the visit which took us about 45 minutes. (We had 2 young children which reduced our time). The admission was $15 for a household which... More

We planned to stop here on our trip to the OBX based on TripAdvisor reviews, but to be honest, we were a bit let down, as a Native American (Cherokee) i found it a bit, lack luster, considering the cost for our family of 5 to enter and tour. There were several artifacts on display, but just not much of... More

This little building is very misleading, it goes on and on for ever and even has a nature walk outside. It is old and musty just like an old attic, we loved it. the attendant was friendly and had all kinds of info (not all of it about native Americans, turns out she had a wealth of info about spiders... This is an incredible cultural and historical collection of Native American artifacts. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The museum is self guided, but any questions regarding the exhibits are cheerfully answered by the staff. They are trying to upgrade and improve the facility. There is a museum store that includes a bookstore and a collectibles section. The proceeds... More

This is a small museum with a lot of things to see. I've been here a few times, and since the last time they have made a lot of progress and expanded the information they present. A lot of the displays are older, but that adds to the charm. If you're looking for an ultra modern museum, you might be... More
