Great Day on the Lake
Jul 2021
Booked a pontoon boat six weeks ahead of our visit July 4th weekend. Brian and his team had the boat ready to go and it wa easy. Well visited instructions and we were off for a day on Fontana lake.
It was a great day on the lake, the return was quick and Brian and his team did a great job. There are two other Marinas on this Lake however Fontana marina and resort are by far the best. Cant wait to get back out there.
Thank you Brian!

Cooling Off from Summer Heat in the Most Beautiful Scenery and Crystal Clear Water
Aug 2020
The marina has friendly service, rentable water toys like kayaks and paddle boards, and the simple provisions you might need for an outing like drinks and sunblock. The facility is maintained meticulously and the location is beautiful.

We rented a kayak. Leaving the marina were were immediately immersed in beautiful scenery. It was August and warm, so we swam from the kayak and just played in the water more than paddling. I cannot emphasize how clean and crystal clear the water was. It was my best lake experience ever.

To my surprise, the water in August was warm and comfortable. I had imagined that it would be icy cold, but I was mistaken.

If you want to kayak and paddle, go for it. Don't miss out on getting in the water to swim during the warm summer months.

Brandon & team are awesome!
Jul 2020 • Couples
My family has been going to Fontana since the 60’s. I have never taken a boat out on the lake before. My bf and I love to boat and fish so I added it to this visit. It was awesome!! The boats were well kept and clean. They even put together a fishing pole for us to take out. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and seeing the dam from the lake was a new and cool experience. Brandon is hilarious and the other guys who work there are so nice. I can’t say enough great things about our experience. It definitely won’t be our last time doing this!!

A lake tour on Ms. Hazel
Oct 2019 • Friends
We certainly got more information on Fontana lake, the dam and area than we expected. Karl was our Boat Captain and we would rate him 5 Star even higher if possible. The marina was easy to find. The water was down some being fall but there was a number of boats in the water still. The marina was very clean & upkept nicely. There were bathrooms. The boat was a pontoon boat. We were greeted warmly. We were met by a gentleman in a golf cart who even offered us a ride down to the actual boat docks. Greeted warmly in the marina office & store. Come to find out our Captain was the gentleman who offered us the golf cart ride. Truly a delight and a true historian on the lake & area history. It was fall so colors lovely although not quite full peak. Day temperature was in the 50s and a bright sunny day. Simply lovely. Wow we learned so much about this area. There certainly were some characters as you probably would expect but hearing the stories was so interesting. The views off the boat spectacular. We learned how 9/11 fits in to the area's history. The dam has pretty darn amazing history & still today affects the entire area. Learn about the copper, gold, plants, moonshine, dam, settlers & various characters that affected this area. You will even get to see some historical pictures. A very enjoyable & educational cruise. It was close to 2 hours long and at the time we went $25 per person. In the fall they were offering a 2 pm. and 4 pm. Cruise. I'd call & make a reservation & double check schedule. If you just show up & they have space they will take you.

Great day on the water
Jul 2019
My wife and I along with her parents rented a pontoon boat for an afternoon out on Fontana lake. Such a wonderful buddy experience in the views from the lake were awesome. The staff at Fontana marina did an excellent job getting us out on the water. It was nice that one of the staff members in a golf cart ferried my in-laws and all of our gear from the parking lot down to the docks which made the whole experience hassle free we definitely will be back next summer

BEST DAY!
Jun 2019 • Family
We stayed at Fontana Village for 4 days/nights, and our few hours on the lake were the Best Part! We rented a pontoon boat and fishing poles from the marina, everyone was really nice there and they provided great vests for the kids on the boat. The lake itself is amazing, the water is a great chill temperature, the kids loved jumping in and swimming around (as well as the adults lol). And the views all around were fantastic.

Nice boating tour.
May 2019 • Couples
We took a 90 minute pontoon boat tour of the Fontana Dam. On the boat ride our ship captain had photos before the Dam was in place and talked about the logging and mining of the area. Wild life was abundant with bears and eagles. The boat is nice and smooth and overall is a relaxing tour. I would say fall would be best for this boat ride. With all the leaves changing the view will be majestic.

The dock does have bathrooms and a gift shop with food and tables.
