Good Course offering 27 holes
Sep 2020
We have played the Etowah Valley Golf Course many times the past years. It has been two years since we played the course. With the recent rains and the course being in a valley it has challenges with ability to maintain it. Accordingly, the course is struggling to be able to keep it at a higher standard of upkeep. Offering 27 holes, we traditionally play the South & West but this day we played the North & West. The North has interesting holes with some elevation changes. It was not in the best shape due to rain issues, but still offers challenges. The West Course brings in more elevation changes with uphill and downhill and valley fairways. Hazards to carry come into play too.
The new golf carts have GPS which is still being set up and this will help a lot in playing the course and knowing distances, etc. We have varied weather with clear skies, then clouds and rain for a hole or two. The pace of play was very good. The Starter and Pro Shop staff were most welcoming, helpful and friendly

Phenomenal Wedding Planning Staff
Aug 2020 • Couples
Tim Connelly and staff were phenomenal for planning a wedding reception/event. Unfortunately we were not able to hold our event due to COVID (writing this August 22, 2020) but their staff was more than willing to work with us, give us multiple options/ideas of how and where to accommodate our guests, and were unbelievably graciously understanding of the “2020 times.” If you have ANY thought of using the pavilion, Chelsea house, or restaurant/cafe spaces and want a stressless experience in planning PLEASE reach out to this wonderful team.

Great location
May 2019
The location was great for our trip objections of going to different mountain towns. Easy trips to Brevard, Hendersonville and Asheville from this site. Staff was excellent. Problem areas are rooms and smoking policies. My room had not had the carpet updated and it had cigarette burns on it. My sister's room was much better with updated carpet. They allow smoking on balconies which is problematic for neighboring rooms. Need to designated certain buildings as smoking or non smoking.

Such a Delight
Dec 2018 • Couples
We wanted to stay in a location that was not far from Asheville and the Airport as well as being close to Brevard. This was the perfect spot. Our room was extremely spacious and we were able to entertain our family in the living room with a beautiful view of the golf course. We spent the day at the Dupont Falls then headed into Asheville for dinner. It was great! The service at the restaurant bar was fantastic. I would highly recommend this wonderful club.

40 years and counting
Aug 2018 • Friends
If you ever wanted to go somewhere and be treated like family this is it. The entire staff here are the most accommodating people I have ever dealt with at a resort. The location is beautiful, everything you need is on site, and there is plenty of challenging golf. The accommodations are very neat and clean, the food is outstanding, with plenty of variety. If you want to get away from the faced paced super resorts then come here and relax you will not regret it. This was our groups 40th year here, and it gets better every year!

Four friends played this course today. (8/27/18) The senior rate was $39. The course was generally in very, very poor condition. Green conditions were variable from fair to poor. Several of the fairways were soggy and they generally were in fair condition. The black top cart paths were in poor condition. Tee boxes also were in poor condition. In our opinion this course will require a major dollar investment to just bring it up to a good level. Drainage problems need to be addressed and maybe there needs to be a change in course management. We wouldn't play it again if the rate were $20. TOO BAD

Great mountain golf course with resort lodging
Aug 2018 • Couples
We enjoyed another week at this favorite spot for golf and local attractions. There are three courses, one hilly with the best views, one intermediate, and one fairly flat, all well manicured and beautiful, w/ perfect greens. Locally there is close by Brevard music center, Pisgah Forest, Hendersonville with its wonderful eateries; Asheville and Biltmore house are just minutes away.

Wet round on Friday
Aug 2017
got there in the middle of a dreary drizzle than had been lingering for a couple of days. Course was very wet, cart path only. The starters were very friendly and helpful since this is a 24 hole course and you play on different nine hole courses to get your 18 in. I would love to go back and play under better weather conditions but the course is beautiful and well maintained. Practice range is one of the best I've seen recently

3 Day Stay
Jul 2017
The location of this place of lodging was perfect for our 3 day vacation to Brevard and Asheville as it was somewhat in the middle of these two areas of interest. It is somewhat dated in outward appearance but the rooms were fairly well updated, although small. It was also difficult to maintain a good room temperature- either too cold with a loud cooling unit running through the night or irregular cooling on a warmer setting. Breakfast at Chelsea's was a good and hearty one but the coffee service lacked a lot to be desired. The front desk service was the very best and we enjoyed early morning walking on the golf course and a mid-afternoon swim in the pool. This was a great place for us as a couple, but we probably would not bring our entire family due to the cramped accommodations.
