My husband and I (and he is a historian at UNC) really enjoyed the History Hub. It is a small but intriguing introduction to a city that has so many different stories to tell. The Hub provides many nuggets that we did not know --...More

Definitely check it out. Covers the history of Durham, which it is full of. Not just the tobacco and the movie, but Black Wall Street, and all of the people that makes Durham what it is.

A small building housing several exhibits tracing Durham's ancestral, cultural, and economic history, with particular and well-deserved attention to our rich African-American heritage. The museum is very small, but carefully reading everything in there could take 1-2 hours, though one could get a nice overview...More

This is a small place you can visit in an hour or less. We were surprised as one of the great great granddaughter of one of the featured families on display dropped in for a picture session. Free parking.
