Quiet course in need of some work.

The course itself has a nice layout but the greens need some work. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good value for the price.

My group plays here several times during the summer. Sometimes we hit the course and it's in fairly good shape, not so the last time out. About half the greens are burned out from summer heat and some of the tee boxes are down to bare earth. The practice greens by the club house are the best on the facility... More

Friendly Pro Shop. Fun layout but some greens were in trouble. Both times I have played there, the pace was 4 HR which I appreciate. Also, the other golfers I played with were very friendly and welcoming. They were regulars at FV.

I played Falls Village with a friend who lives in Raleigh. The course has a good lay out and is an interesting assortment of holes. It is not in a housing development so it is more like an old style golf course. It is very quiet except for the noise of their gas powered golf carts. The rough was high... More

Course design was nice with both some short and long holes that require shot making , fairly tight fairways with not that many traps. Water comes into play on a few holes and some course knowledge is necessary to avoid meandering creeks crossing the fairways. Greens need work. Multiple greens had dead spots with no grass. We paid $40 greens... More

Fairways are In need of weeding and greens are in bad condition. Will not be going back. A mediocre golf experience.

I have plaved FV for many years now. Two weekends ago was the 1st time since Spring. That will probably be the last! Aerated greens, little or no sand in the bunkers, bare patches of dirt, instead of fairway grass and an obnoxious course marshal that insisted that we speed up (every other hole) even though there was no one... I really enjoy this course every time I play it. Not too difficult and in good condition. I would rank this 5th amongst public courses in the RTP. Finley, Lonnie Pool, Duke and Preserve being a notch above this course.

This place is really showing signs of neglect. No doubt, the golf economy has suffered along with the downturn in real estate ... this place looks like it is just hanging on. Poor maintenance of the greens, tee boxes and bunkers, old worn out carts, just not getting the job done.

I like the layout of this course, but it was in bankruptcy for two years and now is under new ownership. The new owners are putting money in to the course to bring it back to what it once was.
