The views were beautiful. The trails were awesome. The playground was fun and tucked away in the trees. The picnic area we chose was perfect. The kids wandered around in the trees and by the lake.

I have always seen Lake Norman from I-77. Jetton Park is 3 minutes off the highway at Exit 28. There was plentiful parking, and multiple access areas to the walking trail. This would be a great picnic location - there are private tables with grills,...More

Tons of birdwatching opportunities. Picnic areas. Small beach. Unfortunately there are also views of the ridiculous mansions surrounding the lake, so large that they look more like hotels. Nevertheless you can get some good nature experiences here.

Great place to get your steps in and can enjoy some larger view of Lake Norman. Has several swings for adults to enjoy the views. Playground for children and tennis courts.

A paved walking path circles the entire park, with views of the lake, benches and restrooms along the way. If you're a county resident, the entry is free (at least during the week; not sure about the weekend). There are myriad quiet picnic areas, some...More

This park has very nice play grounds for the kids. There are also hiking trails and the lake. This is my kids their favorite park on the lake.
