Modern museum that blends dinoramas, artifacts, and audio/visuals to teach history and help bring it alive to visitors. One lesson learned: once upon a time, civilized man could walk west from one full moon to the next and still be in Cherokee territory.

Do not miss this while in Cherokee! Extremely interesting, friendly staff. Gift shop is well stocked and has lovely items.

Loved! Great to visit with our family with 4 young kids. Learned a lot of the history of the Cherokee, some audio was hard to hear.... a much see!

Great place to learn about the history of the Cherokee and our country. Fabulous gift shop with items handmade by local craftsman and Cherokees. My young kids enjoyed it as well!

I visited the museum in Oklahoma, and the one in Cherokee NC. Both are good. The one in North Carolina is better. So if you only go to one, pick North Carolina. If you do go, don't miss on the outside tour. They have a... More
