The reservation offers visitors a wonderful opportunity to learn about Cherokee history and culture. Make sure to visit Ocanaluftee Village, Unto these Hills, and the Museum of the Cherokee Indian. Also take the time to visit Bearmeat’s Den and the Qualla Arts Center. Worth the...More

The reservation and town of Cherokee is just that - a town; to experience and learn the real Cherokee history - go to the village! I’ve read many reviews here that say it’s run down or a tourist trap - but I think people are...More

Visited the reservation`s history center to listen to their stories about their history. Took a tour of their working village. Well worth the road trip through the Smokies to get to the reservation.

It's about an hour drive depending on traffic from Gatlinburg. The views are stunning and there are pull off areas along the way to take photos. Once you get to Cherokee there are several activities to choose from. I highly recommend the Indian village tour...More
