This is a little park. It is a good park to sit and watch the water and think. It is located at the other end of the town there is not much shade, but still a good place to stop and smell the roses.

Marshall park is small, and outside of the big fountain in the pond, there's little to see. You can come and feed the ducks and enjoy a moment of peace within the confines of the big city, but really that's about it.

This small downtown park was ill-conceived and has never been popular as a random hangout. It will soon be eliminated and (including adjacent areas) replaced with a mixed use office, shopping, and residential development.

While there are some trees and grass the centrepiece to Marshall Park is the fountain and the surround to this is a big empty concrete apron - unfortunately that was the lasting memory for me. You never escape the noise of the traffic and hustle...More

An older park in the middle of the city...but nice nonetheless. Great spot for a magnificent view of Uptown Charlotte. Peaceful spot in the city and not far from Freedom Park and the Greenway.

We are lucky in Charlotte to have several parks where people can go and enjoy a bit of serenity during their busy day. Marshall Park is one of those places. It is 5 or 6 acres, with a small lake, with a bridge and a...More

Surrounded by government buildings and a baptist church, this peaceful city park is a nice retreat from city life. Not very large. A little outdated. A few homeless people sleeping. Great views of Charlotte's skyscrapers. Short walk from College Street entertainment.

It was just around the corner from my hotel. It was a peaceful setting but the local Government buildings. There is a statue of MJK.
