Kind of pointless to have a private event on the anniversary ( Jan 15th) with hundreds of people wanting to go to the museum to share the experience. Drove 2 and a half hours to turn back around.

We were so pleasantly surprised by how robust this museum is - we will definitely be back and will probably bring our nieces and nephew. The Miracle on the Hudson installation is amazing and tells such a great story; I was very moved by reading the first-hand accounts from passengers on the plane, which were made more powerful by the... I was in the area and had a little time available to explore this museum. Glad I did. They have a new building with interactive displays, memorabilia, and many actual aircraft, including the USAir Airbus from the Miracle on the Hudson. I arrived close to closing time so I had to rush through the exhibits (my own fault.) I'm looking... More

We took our 12-year old granddaughter to this museum after having seen the amazing movie "Sully" so this was an especially meaningful experience for her, to see the actual plane involved in that spectacular event in our aviation history. There are plenty of other planes, including an old Piedmont Airlines plane and information about the Wright's Kitty Hawk flight. This... More

Intimate museum showing famous aircraft, including the Miracle on the Hudson! Wonderful for kids. Both inside and outside displays of aircraft over the years.

We went to this museum with low expectations, but left very impressed. They have lots of various military planes housed inside a huge hanger. There are also a few outside. The most impressive plane was the plane from the Miracle on the Hudson. They have the entire plane inside the hanger. There are various displays explaining what went wrong and... More

This museum was interesting for me, my husband and two teen nephews for about an hour. Sully's plane is the centerpiece but the most fun is to be had sitting in the cockpit of the phantom jet.

I found out about this museum from other reviews here on Tripadvisor. So when I visited Charlotte I wanted to check this out as I like airplanes, history and science. It is a small museum. Everything is on display in one hanger, but it is very well done. Quality over quantity here. There are many nice planes and helicopters on... More

Was a little hesitant because if some other posts that we saw, however the kids and adults really enjoyed everything. Reading about and watching the episode about the flight that landed in the Hudson Bay. This was just a great time and everyone enjoyed. Really was wondering if the teenagers and younger kids would really enjoy it but that is... More
