We visited in the morning and we were glad. majority of the myuseum is indoors, but not air-conditioned. They have huge fans moving the ari indoors. We saw the "Miracle on the Hudson" exhibit front and center. Lots of explanation I never knew before. The...More

This museum is run by a dedicated staff. The aircraft on display are well preserved, and tastefully presented. Their showpiece is the US Airways A320, which landed on the Hudson. The exhibit features an informative video. Every aviation professional and enthusiast should visit this museum....More

We stopped in to check out the planes and happy we did. It is a smaller museum but if you have small children it's perfect. We was right at the airport so was able to watch the planes take off and land my 3 yr...More

My husband and I took our kids (ages 6, 3, and 7 months) to the museum. My plane-loving 6-year-old couldn't get enough of it. We watched the movie "Sully" last week so it was awesome to see the wreckage at this museum. We were given...More

This Aviation Museum is on the periphery of the huge Charlotte Airport and is a convenient stop for about an hour before boarding one's flight. There is a replica of the Wright Brother's first plane, a Piedmont Airline DC-3, and some fighter jets. But the...More

Not the largest display of planes, but nonetheless very interesting. The Sully exhibit is incredible. To think anyone could survive a crash is a miracle for sure. It is amazing how much damage occurred to the jet after the crash.

The best part of this was the info you got about the Hudson River landing, I walked around the plane a lot just looking and thinking about the crash. Capt Sully did a great job.

I had never heard of this place, and saw an ad for it in a tourist mag at the hotel. What attracted me to it was that, as a centerpiece, it has the US Airways plane that Sully Sullenberger landed in the Hudson River in...More

Most of the Carolinas Aviation Museum is now devoted to the Sully Sullenberger Exhibit, which includes the airplane that ended up in the Hudson River (bound for Charlotte), videos, and most interesting of all, personal belongings of the passengers and crew. Well worth a two-hour...More

If you are in Charlotte and have some time this is a must see. It has the Hudson River aircraft complete. Also there is an 727 simulator that you can walk through, a f4 cockpit that you can get in. You can spend hours looking...More

If there are any, I did not find them. There are several fast food restaurants a mile or so away on Billy Graham Parkway. I would say eat something before you go because there is nothing to eat at the Museum.

We intend to visit this place while waiting for our flight at the airport. Does the museum permit visitors with carry-on luggage or provide a facility to check in bags?

I would imagine they could hold them in the office there, but I would call ahead just to check. It's not attached to the airport - it's off-premises by a bit, but it's large and they have a decent-sized 'office' area; the... More

When we went it was $40. $12 for adults and $8 for children. It was well worth it as we were entertained for several hours and saw things we haven't seen at other museums
