Lots of places for children to run, also areas for them to clime and explore while exhausting themselves out. This is also a great place to either take a leisurely stroll, enjoy the ducks, or get your jog or run on.

I go to my nephew's games a lot here. My kids love it and it is one of their favorite parks. The only thing is that there is a good bit of traffic. Getting in and out can sometimes be difficult.

An in town, beautiful park that everyone can enjoy. A wonderful play ground for the kids - I have never seen one this large with all the different challenges for the kids . . . they just loved it.

We stopped here to eat a picnic lunch while driving toward Niagara Falls. This was a great park for eating, playing and had restrooms. Great break for all if us: ages 5-51.

January can be in the 60's or 30's. We tend to have a 20-30degree daily swing between night and day temperatures in the winter and early spring. Freedom Park has plenty of paved paths through the woods and alongside the... More

How far it's this park from Charlotte airport? Is there a bus that could take me from the airport to there and back?

If there was a bus you would have to make many changes in lines. It is about a 15 minute drive from the airport if you know your way around Charlotte. If you did want to leave the airport to go and walk and get fresh air... More
