Took the "Gorge Diesel Railroad Excursion" in September 2018 with a group of friends. The trip-route would be "exquisite" later in the Fall when the leaves have turned, but still worth doing -along the River. The Lunch was OK (but expensive) !

We took a ride on the polar express. The hospitality was great. The ride was good and the kids loved it.

We took the 4 hour scenic tour in the stem engine train. Trying to get on the train was a crowd of people shoving and pushing. Not a great way to start. There were very few scenic scenes. Lots of weeds to look at. There...More

We took the moonshine steam train to see the Smokeies Fall color. You get 7-8 half shots of flavored moonshine in the Moonshine car with a great dinner. Great fun!

Fall vacation with another couple. All 4 of us were excited about the train ride into the Smokies. Our excitement soon left when we couldn’t see much... because of the Kudzu! Should be called the “Kudzu Express.” We went first class, the meal was ok....More

I think the left side of the train. We were in the first class shine and dine. If you are not into that i would definitely choose the regular first class car.

We were in the caboose and there is a little step-stool they put on the ground at the bottom step. I've had a knee replacement and it was a little difficult, but not that bad.
