i used to visit this winery from time to time when I lived in Roanoke, VA. I had vacation so I decided to visit this place and relive the good times. Wines are still good and everything is local. I bought Rockford Red which is blend of different grapes (be sure to chill two hours before serving).

We had never been to any of the wineries before so we didn't know what to expect. The Yadkin Winter Red festival is a really neat way to visit and try out their specific wines (and food pairings) that were offered. You actually see the inside of this winery and they are the biggest of the tour. Their offering was... More

Beautiful place. Views were stunning. When I entered I was impressed instantly. The young man behind the counter was very knowledgeable about the grapes, wine-making process as well as the product. The shop was inviting and there were many interesting products. There was even a local author doing a book signing.

The true merit of RagApple Lassie may be lost to many, it is easy to get lost with the hand painted bottles and the diversity of their wines! One conversation with either of the owners ( I was lucky to meet them both) will reveal to you two very important points: 1. They were one of the FIRST wineries in... More

We planned an afternoon of visiting wineries in the area and a early dinner at Sanders Ridge Winery. (great food!) We walked into the tasting room where people had gathered at the bar. No one acknowledged us so we sat down to wait at the puzzle table. We began to notice that people were standing at the bar drinking glasses... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us and please accept our apologies for not honoring your presence! As you mentioned,it is normal for many people to be at the bar tasting our wines and enjoying themselves and it is also a regular occurrence for folks to relax in the chairs at the jigsaw table to... Nice meeting the owners and hearing history of the vineyard and the clovis point. Excellent wine. It was interesting walking through the fermentation room.

This is family operated and owned. Very nice folks. First met owners Frank and Lena at Great Grapes in Charlotte, SouthPark years ago. Nice selection of wine, southern hospitality at its best. Staff make you feel right at home. Special events are planned throughout year on property. We also scheduled a hot air balloon ride from there a couple years... More

This is our second visit to RagApple Lassie Vineyards. We travel to Charlotte every year and this is a must see stop. This is not your ordinary vineyard. Everyone loves the metal cow out front and it provides many great photo opportunities. Who doesn't want their picture taken with a cute metal cow? Then it is fun to go past... More

Recently visited Ragapple Lassie Vineyards (named after the owner's prized show calf) for a tasting. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the wines and we had a good time talking with them. The tasting room and gift shop was interesting and inviting. I tried 6 of the wines and honestly didn't particularly love any of them. None of them... More
