Spent $36 for a bucket of dirt to sift. An educated person told us about the precious few rocks we had discovered from our bucket, and how they were made in the earth. That was the only redeeming part of this excursion. There was a...More

We took our 10 yr old son to do some mining for gems. First off the store is super neat! Part museum, part shop. Really quite educational if you take the time to read and discuss the items they have displayed. As a homeschool mom...More

Great stop with the family. Lots of things to do here including the gem mining. It was fun learning about what the stones were.

Decided to do this as a rainy day activity. I took my 3 year old and was surprised at how much he enjoyed sifting through the small bucket we purchased. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable and the gift shop was pretty cool. Definitely...More

We loved Doc’s Rocks! All ages enjoyed sifting through the buckets of mining dirt looking for gems and rocks. We found several beautiful stones and gems. Nothing of great value, but did have some cut and faceted for the memories. Nice afternoon. Interesting to go...More

We had fun here. You get a lot of gems and fossils. Be sure to look closely, some gems look like pebbles, especially rubies and sapphires. They will go over your collection with you and explain what you have found. We got some of our...More
