Took a nice stroll (the easy loop), and the kids enjoyed the free scavenger hunt maps. Took some great family photos along the way. Picnic areas had great views and were comfortable. Port-a-potties were pretty disgusting though, not well kept, and there wasn't anything except...More
Be sure to hike the Boone Fork trail..a 5 mile look doesn’t get much better than that. Grab a kayak from the rental place enjoy the water and beautiful scenery. Always top of the list as things to do in the high country!
Boone Fork Trail is great. There is a waterfall just off the trail. If you just want to see the waterfall, hike in a counter-clock wise direction. You will get there quicker and not have to go through the strenuous section of the trail.
This lake is beautiful. Fall is a gorgeious time to go. Reflections in the lake. Hiking trail all around the lake and a family of deer were grazing at the spillway uneffected by the crowds taking pics of them. Good easy flat hike.

Yes, there is a parking area at Price Lake where you can see the lake. You can also visit the Moses Cone Craft Center, which is close by. It is a beautiful place and was part of the Moses Cone Manor. The manor has a very wide porch with rocking chairs where you can sit and have a beautiful view of the NC mountains as well as visit the spectacular crafts exhibited by the Highland Guild members.
