For many years we’ve made the trout farm a regular stop just to look at the trout and watch the people fish. This year July 8 th 2018 we stopped with our 7 yr old grandson who loves to fish. It was 3 pm and...More
People is friendly and water cristal clear, my daughter had fun, later we grilled the fish but at 6.95 per pound and an extra fee for cleaning the fish, two fish came up to 29.00 dollars. Most expensive fish we ever ate.
This was a highlight of our Banner Elk/Boone vacation. We stayed at Grandfather Campground and saw the pond right next door, decided we would give it a try. It was not too crowded when we stopped in, just a few families having a good time...More

Went kind of early, to our surprise it was a lot of people already there. They supply you with everything you may need. If you have any trouble with your rod they swap it for you. Everyone that works there were friendly and helpful. Rods...More
We weren’t here too long. It was raining but my son had a great time. They provide everything you need- poles, tackle, bait. Just know it’s $7/lb and boy can that add up fast. The staff is great and very helpful. We’ve only ever done...More
We took our picnic lunch here. Small to medium size pond. Water was clean and a gentleman was fishing away from the swimming area. CLEAN picnic tables and a few sheltered tables. Small swing set for the younger crowd. Didn’t test the water myself; I...More

The staff are friendly and very helpful. Some might say they have a different sense of humor. I remember asking about the price and the owner joked and said it was double. So when I wine to pay I said I found a 50% off coupon online. His jaw dropped was speechless. Then I said I was just joking. We laughed and he said it got him. They are good people and the food is good. Wish their pond was a little bigger though. Neat experience.
They provide everything. You fish with a rod and reel and they give you worms for bait. There are different ponds for different size fish. You pay for the fish you catch by the pound. The kids would love it.
