The Habitat "zoo" was lovely and interesting what they do for wounded animals. The trails are not difficult to the vantage points and if they even have an elevator to the highest point if you can't climb or don't want to go on the bridge....More

Beautiful views from Mile High Bridge on Grandfather Mountain near Banner Elk NC! The State Park has a “zoo-like” wildlife habitat where we saw bears, mountain lions, elk, otters, and eagles. Awesome experience!

Took family over Thanksgiving vacation and it was beautiful. Love the mile high bridge. Beautiful hike up the side of the mountain. Best in the warmer months

There were beautiful views from the mile high bridge - definitely worth it! It's also nice that they have an elevator for folks that have trouble walking to be able to get up to the bridge and see everything. Animal exhibits were good too! Would...More

It's a little pricey but with a car load it's worth it. The zoo is great, the temperature is a welcome relief in summer.

It does not cost anything to park and hike in the state park. It only costs to go to the tourist area which is still privately owned.
