There are actually many trails on island. I heard from reviews this is a must do. In all honesty, you can do it or not. It’s quick trail to see marsh. We saw a couple small crabs. Trail starts off marked well but doesn’t continue....More

Take any one of a number of paths to explore the unique and beautiful vegetation and wildlife on this beautiful island. It is the best way to enjoy the sights and sounds of a salt marsh and to preserve the beauty.

You don't often get a chance to see such a beautiful natural area. Lots of birds and gorgeous trees, and fish jumping in the creeks and marshes.

Great way to view the natural nature setting of BHI. However it was really hot when we visited and heard something moving in grass...could've been gator we didn't stick around to find out. Worth the walk though just keep your eyes and ears open.

You can often see painted buntings here. Nice boardwalk through the marsh. You may want to use insect spray.

The paths needed cleaning up, and we saw only one bird. I have been on nicer nature trails. The views of the marsh were pleasant, however.
