From the time I get on the ferry until I'm at the top of the lighthouse every step is worth it. Rent a golf cart and spend the day or rent a home and stay a few nights. Nice, clean, private beaches. Maritime forest is...More

108 Unair-conditioned steps. Still worth the climb. Awesome views. Museum was small but interesting. Old Baldy lighthouse was dusty and crumbling but is 200 years old so expected

The stairs and even doing it in the heat was worth the view from the top. We enjoyed taking time to check out the lighthouse. The history of it can be viewed as well. It was an interesting read.

Even though it is undergoing renovation, it is a great spot to stop - enjoy the mossy oaks out front and read its history. Museum is interesting and would loved to have walked to the top!

Access to Old Baldy was greatly limited due to its ongoing renovations. Definitely call ahead to check on access.

Wonderful experience visiting old highthouse. We were able to climb uptop to have a wonderful view of the Island. It is a must visit place traveling through Outer Bank. Can't wait to take another Outer Bank trip.
