The island historical tour with Travis was incredible! It was a complete tour of the island and it’s history, with many interesting facts. Travis was a great guide.

Old Baldy was a fun and quick trip. $6 12 & up. $3 under. Easy parking. No lines. 108 steps. Steps are wood and well maintained. New-ish. The top is a ladder. Only 5-6 people can fit at top. You need to wait on landing...More

This lighthouse is really special !! The 108 steps aren’t too bad .. but be ready for the ladder and smallish opening to get to the top. The climb though, is well worth it! The view of Bald Head Island from top is terrific !!

1st stop after securing some rental bikes. $6/each to go up to top, worth it, but some people may not be able to fit in top stairway section. Great views.

The climb results in a great view of the surroundings. They recently enclosed the stairs to the top which kept us from previous climbing. This really improved the climb.

Loved climbing to the top. Can't get this view of Bald Head anywhere else. Totally worth it. Small space at the top, so you might have to take turns.

It takes a concerted effort to see this lighthouse, as you can only get there via ferry boat. The trip is well worth the effort! It was a ton of fun to climb to the top of the oldest lighthouse in NC.
