It is just stunning. You feel as if you are back in time with knights in the middle of a castle. The mess hall was pretty awe inspiring, stain glass window, paintings, a huge mural, just beautiful.

I'm honored to be able to tour such a prestigious military base. The history and scenic tours are amazing. You will learn so much and enjoy your visit here. Tend plenty of pictures and visit the gift shop.

I randomly decided to take a two hour drive to West Point given its long standing history in the United States. It is a great site to visit if you're interested in military history or history in general but there are certain tips I can offer. If you're planning on taking the tour, arrive about an hour before you'd like... More

We took a tour through the academy and was very unhappy with this. So we got into our car and took our own tour with a West Point booklet in hand and had the best time - without the bus.

A friend of mine and I went for a football game. Arrived early enough to catch the parade and make it to the stadium. I would suggest jumping on buses to get from point A to B. A lot of hiking, but so much history.

Staying with members of the faculty at West Point one of whom gave us the potted tour of the grounds. Fascinating history, beautiful views and friendly people. Watched a lacrosse game in the football stadium and had a great time. there was rugby on as well but couldn't be at two places at once!!

West Point is steeped in American History. The grounds are immaculate. The history from the time of General Washington to Patton. 2 presidents and Generals on both sides during our nation's civil war. To all the Great Generals of all American conflicts. The reverence of the cemetery. A must see for all Americans. A true symbol of a great country... More

Walking/hiking throughout the hilly "campus" of the US Military Academy provides plenty of breathtaking views and opportunities to work up a sweat. If you are attending an event there, give yourself an opportunity and time to hike around the post.
