The Yallingup shearing shed holds some sheeps and has a retail store selling merino wool products. steve does once a day shows on selected days at 11am, we learnt about the difference between merino sheep wool and the others. We were also shown the process of shearing and how the dogs gathered the sheeps. How natural was it for these... More

The whole family enjoyed the 'show'. Highly entertaining and educational. Lots of participation for the kids (and adults). Shop has some good stock.

This was by far the highlight of our trip in south west Australia. The host Steve was so welcoming and inclusive to all. Everybody was included in feeding the sheep and sorting the wool. The show was very entertaining and fun and we left being very knowable on sheep farming and how to be a rouseabout. And the dogs were... More

As the name suggests, it's actually a sheep farm where daily shearing starts at 11am (with the exception on Thursday and Friday). Entry tickets have to be purchased from the cashier counter before they allowed you to go in. While waiting, you can buy food to feed some of the sheeps outside. The show was the highlight of the tour...... More

We went to the shearing shed at the recommendation of friends and weren't disappointed. Our 8 year old loved feeding the sheep and the shearing show was excellent. It was fascinating watching the sheep dogs and the shearer at work, being up close to the sheep and seeing the end product. The shearer was a great host and really engaged... More

This is the best sheep shearing demonstration I had been to by far. The host is funny and the show is very informative. Lots of interaction between the host and the guests. A must visit attraction in Margaret river.

I chose this activity as it was very close to my hotel and thought it might interest my three little kids. As we arrived in the little shop full of rather old-fashion merino jumpers, I was certain the next hour would be boring, I was so wrong. The tour is greatly entertaining, and instructive too. The teenagers loved it too... More

This is certainly one of the highlights visiting the Margaret River region. A shearing shed that's been around awhile, it's really a very cozy and intimate place to learn more about sheep shearing and the wool industry. Get in 30 minutes before showtime to feed the sheep and just walk around the compound. The show starts with sheep shearing and... More

Our school camp went here and the city kids loved it. Shearing, hands on activities and herding the sheep with the dogs kept them interested for the entire visit.

We were welcomed by the lovely owners and staff and my daughter was given a bowl of feed for the sheep. The show was great - the kids were asked to participate in various activities (wool stomping, holding the sheep, bottle feeding and cuddling lambs) and we were able to watch the sheepdogs work. The products in the shop are... More
