If you are into salt this is the place. Its flat half full of water and once was a working salt recovery lake. If you like bird spotting give it a go great selection of birds that vary month to month.

Had a swim then picked up a coach for a lengthy tour of the island. The salt lakes were a very interesting part of that trip. The whole experience was well worth it.

Riding past the Salt Lakes, they look pretty, but Wow, they smell bad. The pick edges and the white centres of the lakes really make them stand out. the ride is quite flat and an easy day for people with average fitness levels. Worth the...More

The lakes turn pink due to a special algae. They are very interesting to look at and are quite photogenic. It is also great to cycle though them and feel the breeze off the water.
