Housed in a modern building near the ferry jetty, the staff here are friendly and helpful. We bought some souvenir quokkas here which were much better made than others we came across in Perth and priced much the same.

We had a dodgy booking on the little self book machines near the central bus area and had to get this fixed up at the centre - they were very good & full of good ideas. just a pity the booking machine didn't work properly.

Took the ferry from Hillary's marina. Free shuttle from local hotel. Booked bicycles with ferry booking. 45 minutes to Island in comfortable boat with services. Biked around the island. Highlight were the Quokkas roaming. Very friendly and great photo ops. Beautiful scenery. Can walk as well or rent motorized bicycles. We did a day trip though there is accommodation on... More

Bought 9 tickets for a 10 am bus tour with a tour guide. Waiting to be picked up but after 20 min later I rang the visitor centre only to be told the tour starts at 130. When purchasing tickets originally I double checked the times as some of our girls were only there for the day & had to... More

Please note the tour type and departure time is printed on the ticket. I will... More

On a visit to my daughter from Ireland to Perth, four of us, my daughter, her partner, my nephew and myself, all adults, took a trip to Rottnest Island on the Express Ferry and hired bicycles to tour the island. When we arrived we collected our bicycles and between a map we collected at the visitor centre and Google maps... More

Thank you for your review Mary I am very glad you enjoyed your trip to the Island. It is very important that the Quokkas are not touched or fed for their wellbeing. Nothing stopping you getting a great Quokka selfie though. Kind Regards Adam Morris Visitor Centre Manager More

When we landed this is the first place you will come across. I must admit that the volunteer was extremely helpful and approachable. We purchased the local bus tickets $20 each which appears expensive and I think it is. The first bus driver was very informative (a knowledgeable botanist) as we drove around. We stopped at the lighthouse where the... More
