What a treat to be able to see in person the stromatolites! The boardwalk is great for getting a good view without damaging the stromatolites and it's not far to walk from the car park.

Give it a miss if you are not into this kind of stuff. Go during low tide and you get to see more things. Also a great place to see the sunset.

A very accessible boardwalk gives you great viewing of the stromatolites and with the crystal clear water it is a worthwhile excursion.

This place was very interesting as the formations that were formed over thousands of years ago was quite unbelievable.

Stomatolites for me (as someone who works in the environmental sector) were a must see, however, my partner was just as impressed. Hamelin Pool has amazing scenery and is extremely peaceful. Avoid if all you are wanting to do is go for a swim as...More
