I can understand a price for a guided tour but just to walk around the grounds? Ridiculous. Go to the waterwheel and check the coast from that vantage point. Take a tight fitting hat - the wind is full on.
Cape Leeuwin is where the Indian and Great Southern Oceans meet so you can see why the need for a lighthouse!
I had visited here some years back and enjoyed it so this time I took my partner.......

Hello Aileen W
I am sorry , the lighthouse is under Maritime Law and they do not permit anyone under 4 years of age from climbing the lighthouse stairs . There is a great tour of the lighthouse grounds as well as a fabulous café that one of you could sit in with the baby while the other does the tour . Then you could swap over , I hope this helpful for you , and you enjoy your Margaret River Region experience .
