Worth the entry fee but please take enough cash with you. When you arrive at the park boundary a national parks officer gets on the bus equipped with a smart phone and a tablet. However he asks for cash only! We thought we could pay...More

I would have given Perito Moreno Glaceir five stars but it is almost impossible to do on your own for cheap. You have to go with an agency, rent a car, or pay for the overpriced bus. The cheapest way, a 45 minute bus ride,...More

Third world's largest after Antarctica and Greenland, so massive it must be seen to be believed. We did the mini trek (1.5 hrs) with our two young kids, we loved it as a family. We went with Grayline Tours (Argentina). Amazing views from the deck...More

What an amazing time! We got the opportunity to trek on the glacier. In the middle of the tour the guide pulled out some glasses from his backpack, used his ice pick to chip at the ice and fill the glass. He then Pour us...More

IMO, this glacier is special. Compared with all natural landscapes I've been, this is by far the most beautiful one.

This beautiful glacier is surreal. It's massive and you can see all the way back to the mountains. The sound it makes when pieces break off is astonishing, almost like gunfire or a cannon. The walkway the park was made gets you very close and...More

Ever wanted to feel like John Snow on the Wall? This glacier defies the boundary between reality and imagination, it's just awesome. We went in autumn and actually caught the first snow of the year, adding to the experience. Glacier itself is located 80 km...More

Like any glaciar it's a great site to contemplate, but what sets Perito Moreno apart is the location which is quite accessible, you not only get to see it by boat (which I would advise), but also have some walkways on the opposite site which...More

Hiking on the glacier - you'll have crampons on and ski poles. I dressed for both hot and cold - the sun can beat down on the glacier - but it's still a glacier with a couple inches of wet, slushy snow on top. Ski pants... More

By the trek do you mean the boardwalks? We viewed the glacier from both the boat and the boardwalks and both are awesome experience. The boardwalk is easy but actual trekking on the glacier cannot be done in winter as it is... More
