We did the hike in February this year. Camped out at Poincenot the night before our climb to Laguna de los Tres. The campground was quite crowded when we arrived early afternoon. It got very cold at night. We got up early around 4:45 and...More

Really great trek. Not too tough and very rewarding. Plenty of stunning spots for an energy snack and if you set off at the right time you could feel you're on the trail alone.

This a classic !!!!, If you are in chalten is a must do. The trekking is a 10 km round trip to reach the laguna, beware the last 1km is a very steep climb, requires good physical condition and patience but worth it because it...More

Amazing view on mount fitz roy.. great tough hike but absolutely worth it! Try to start the hike from el pilar (to avoid tracking the same trail 2 times, and the extra trail is very nice!)

We started this hike at Hosteria El Pilar and walked back to El Chalten. Really glad we did it that direction as the climb up from town would have been really steep. The first part is through a lenga forest, which helped to calm the...More

The hike to Laguna de los Tres is beautiful. This can be done as an out and back hike from El Chalten, but we got a bus ride to El Pilar and walked back to El Chalten. The side hike to the viewpoint for Mount...More

We loved this hike! It was quite tough, but the views are definitely worth it! It is 8km each way, and the last kilometer is very steep - you have to ascend 400m, but the path is fun - you walk through forests, pass a...More
