Absolutely loved the Seneca Wine Trail. Beautiful area with numerous wineries and wine tastings overlooking this pretty lake. Atwater was probably my favorite and all the surrounding wine tastings right near it.. Just beautiful.. And if you like beer, go next door to Two Goats...More

Most of the wineries that we stopped at were friendly and informative. Some of the larger establishments catered to the bus crowd and were less enjoyable. With a few exceptions wine from the area taste pretty much the same. Some of the best wine is...More

Girls's week away. We rented a house in Lodi which is mid-way on the east side. We researched wineries and discovered there are nearly 60 to choose from. :) As you drive down Rt 14 or 414 you will see signs for wineries and vineyard...More

This is a neat area to visit for 2-3 days. There are more Wineries than you need to visit but it's fun visiting a few. The wines are decent and the people are friendly. You can take one whole day to do as many wineries...More

Loved the winery's and how pretty the Seneca Lake. Found some great wines to take home. Many have unique gift shops. Some are in historic houses. We went to the Torrie Redneck Winery and they had a pig roast and live band. Fun times!

This wine trail was in perfect proximity to our hotel in Watkins Glen. Get a map, a designated driver and just hit as many as you can. 2 of the places even offered us free tastings. Every establishment was nice and knowledgeable. Beautiful scenery!

Just a few tips for those visiting for the Seneca Lake Wine Tours...First, go when the weather is warmer! Snow and cold rain don't make for a comfortable day. Second, each year we go our groups grows. We began renting houses for the weekend. You...More

Too many wineries and not enough time! This was our second trip; still did not see all the wineries. Some are closed during the week off season, but many still open and a great time to taste as we were often the only couple in...More

We prefer red wines, so we searched for a "red wine only" vineyard, which are rare in this white wine grape growing region. Our search led us here, and we were not disappointed! We talked extensively to the daughter and mother of this family-owned business,...More

We went to several wineries on the trail. We had great wine, fabulous service and great views. I highly recommend the experience as I have been to many wine trails across the country and this one is top on my list.

Sorry to be late, April was very wet here keeping us busy and offline. The tour is the safest and you should get a nice cross section. Some will ask where you would like to visit. For the tasting rooms that charge I suggest... More

That is a great question, and there is no universally accurate answer: time of year, day of the week you're visiting, and a host of other factors play into this. Probably 30-45 minutes per winery is a good estimate. Visit... More

We went up the east side and down the west. I agree west side is a little more scenic. We ate at Ventosa Winery along the north west side of the lake right outside of Geneva. It was reasonably priced. The food was wonderful... More
