My visit to Watkin's Glen was specifically to visit the Farm Sanctuary. Their mission is admirable, tho I feel their efforts are more useful for education..and the few animals that are rescued, in comparison to the millions who are not, and can't be until society changes. Hence emphasis on education. Unless you were raised in a farm, you can't keave... More

We visited the place 3 families with kids - 10, 7, 4, 3 and 2. I thought it would be nice experience for kids but I think it's aiming for adults (vegans). Very nice place , the tour is educated but for us it missed the point of interest.

A really good tour of the sanctuary. We got to see and interact with cows, turkeys, pigs, and sheep, and hear their stories. Be aware that this is an informational tour that explains the horrible conditions of factory farming, and the tour starts with a video that shows some awful images. They do warn you though, and most of the... More

My fiance and I traveled to the Watkins Glen area to visit Farm Sanctuary. It was such a gift to be able to meet the animals on the farm, pet cows, give pigs belly rubs, and feed roosters and turkeys. We are hoping to sponsor an animal or two in the future.

We arrived late and were allowed to catch up to the group tour. I went with my three children. They loved patting the animals and interacting with them. The goats followed us down the hill to the childrens delight. We fed the apples (from the apple trees) to the pigs (inbetween bites themselves) The tour guides were pleasant , knowledgeable... More

They need way better signs for travelers... we made it straight there but the signs are terrible.. I thought they... More

One of the most special and serene places I've visited. My wife and I felt like our trip to Farm Sanctuary was very spiritual. As vegans we appreciate and respect the work that Farm Sanctuary does. The tour was amazing, the location is amazing, the staff is amazing. Great Job!!!

Definitely a must for all animal lovers. How they rescue and take care of all of the farm animals is altruistic and compassionate. Food, restroom, and gift shop available. The entire tour only takes about 2 hours and the opportunities you get to feed and pet the animals such as goats, pigs, chickens, etc. are very fun. In the main... More

One has to visit to appreciate the work done here. Great people, lots of saved animals and they could always use help.
